The Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou) established by an Act of Parliament in 1985, has continuously striven to build an inclusive knowledge society through inclusive education. The IGNOU University offers about 228 certificate, diploma, degree and doctoral programmes, with a strength of nearly 810 faculty members and 574 academic staff at the headquarters and regional centres and about 33,212 academic counsellors from conventional institutions of higher learning, professional organizations, and industry among others.
Over the years, IGNOU University has lived up to the country’s expectations of providing education to the marginalized sections of society. Free-of-cost education is being provided to all jail inmates across the country. A large number of SC/ST students have been admitted to various programs of IGNOU University.
How to Apply for IGNOU University?
First, we request the students to read and get complete information regarding the courses you have decided to apply for.
Then on the official website i.e www.ignou.ac.in, check for the availability in your desired regional centre and the course you want to pursue.
Then students need to register on the IGNOU University website. They will then be given a login Id to perform the IGNOU University Admission process. Finally, go to the Admission section to fill out the form.
Here, select your course. Fill out all the educational details in the form and upload the documents to support your eligibility. Then make the payment as per the course you selected; you have now gotten admission to the university.
